Exclusive cuisine on the Gold Coast
If you are members of or are lucky enough to be invited as a guest to Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club’s Jabiru Restaurant, be prepared for an impressive fine dining experience.
The Jabiru Restaurant is exclusive and intimate, with large lounge chairs and ample spacing in-between tables.
The stunning autumn menu has twists on the old classics and is comfortably suited to members who are familiar with the finest of restaurants around the world.
In addition to a focus on sourcing superior ingredients from all over the country, the meals at The Jabiru Restaurant are well-sized and specifically designed to satisfy the clientele.
Recommended meals included prawn pasta with chilli and basil oil, the gnocchi, which is made in-house and the pan seared Humpty Doo Barramundi fillet.
We finally settled on the duck liver pâté with cornichons and toasted rye sourdough and the Kinkawooka South Australian Black Mussels - served with tomato chilli sauce and crusty bread for entrée. The pâté is made in-house and was delicious, and the mussels are the best you will taste in Australia.
Next on the menu was the beautiful and local grilled Goldband Snapper, complete with wasabi mash, bok choy and teriyaki sauce - fresh and cooked to perfection.
While there wasn’t any room left for dessert (I heard the rich chocolate mousse with honeycomb chards and candied peanuts is incredible), the Arnold Palmer, a refreshing iced tea and lemonade beverage made famous by the golfer who designed the golf course, finished the evening superbly.
